Hi, Shannon here -

If you’re searching for how to lose tummy fat, then I’m glad you found this website and I strongly suggest that you keep reading…

Because this is my uncensored fat loss story. The ups, the downs, the things that didn’t work and finally the one thing that did help me achieve my goal of losing my tummy.

The problem really started after my first pregnancy. I put on about 20 pounds. I was able to lose some of it, but it was hard to find time to exercise or cook healthy things with a new baby.

After about a year and a half, I was pregnant again. Another pregnancy, more pregnancy weight. Now with two kids it was even tougher to find time for myself.

I began to get depressed. I had almost no self esteem, I didn’t want to go out with friends. I felt like my marriage was suffering. The passion in our relationship seemed to be at an all time low, my husband just didn’t appreciate my anymore.

I tried all the fad diets – South Beach, Atkins, low glycemic index diet, and more. All those did was make me crave all the food I couldn’t have. I joined a gym and swore that I was going to try out some of the classes, but I could never seem to find the time. I even tried those dangerous diet pills. I lost a few pounds with those, but they put my emotions so out of whack that I couldn’t stay on them.

I felt totally helpless.

Then, one day while I was searching for help online. I came across an interesting little website. It flat out told me that everything that I thought you should do to get a flat tummy was wrong. Things like hours of cardio, dozens of sit-ups and eating low carb and sugar free foods. I was intrigued.

I did something really crazy. I bought it. And what I learned surprised me.

This thing was different than other weight loss programs I had seen. It wasn’t just about cutting out certain types of food or doing ridiculous exercises. It is about eating and working out in a certain way that tricks your body into burning off fat.

What was really neat about it was that I actually learned why I should eat certain things. I also learned that it’s ok to cheat a little sometimes if you do it right. I learned how to work out. Before I didn’t realize that some of the exercises I was doing before were acting making it harder for me to reduce my tummy fat.

After reading through it all, I decided to give it a try. I followed the meal plan that was laid out in the guide. It was actually really great food like homemade chili, meatballs, shrimp, omelets and sausage.

Then there was there was my least favorite part….the exercising.

I wasn’t in that great of shape so this part worried me a little. I had several exercise videos that I couldn’t last 5 minutes on. But, I gave it a go and it really wasn’t that bad. There were several levels of exercises. It made it easy for someone like me who really never worked out much. It was great that the exercises worked for me.

I stuck with it through the first week and the second week and the third week. I started to get frustrated. I had only lost a few pounds. It seemed like I wasn’t really getting anywhere.

But then I started thinking about the jeans that I had on. They actually fit right. Before I started all this, they were almost too tight to wear. But now my jeans actually fit right.

I guess I didn’t really like that the numbers on the scale weren’t changing, but I was getting skinnier. That’s really what matters.

But, after sticking with it though the end of the second month, the bathroom scale started going down and down and down.

Here I am 3 months later and 30 pounds lighter. I feel incredible. I really didn’t think I could do it, but I did! I never would have gotten here without the help of Mike Geary and his book The Truth About Abs.

I feel good when I go shopping and can actually find things that fit! Things that I look good in! And the passion is back in my marriage.

So that’s my story. I really love to tell people about it. I hope that it has encouraged you and motivated you to do what I did. I can’t imagine how much worse it would have gotten if I didn’t find this book.

If you want to read more about Mike Geary’s book The Truth About Abs, then click here to go to the official website.

All the best,
Shannon

I know I’m not alone in dreading swimsuit season every year. Wearing a swimsuit makes me very self conscious. In the past I’ve always worn a cover up and would never get in the water unless no one was around. Well, this year I finally decided to do something about it and started looking into how to get a flat tummy.

I stumbled onto this great article called How to Reduce Tummy Size. Perfect right? The article gave a few simple tummy exercises to tone my stomach muscles and help give me a flatter tummy.

Here’s a few that I really liked:

Seated Torso Twist

This tummy exercise is really simple. Start by sitting on the floor with your knees bent. Now, put your hands behind you head and interlock your fingers. Tighten your ab muscles (this is important!) and twist to the left as far as you can comfortably go. Hold that position for 10 seconds.

Now slowly rotate back to the right as far as you can comfortable go. Hold that position for 10 seconds. Repeat this 10 times. Focus on using your abs to rotate your upper body.

If that is too easy, then lean back a little and perform the same exercise. Keep trying the exercise until you can complete 10 full rotations (10 to the left and 10 to the right) while you are leaning back at a 45 degree angle.

These are very effective at working your entire tummy muscles. You are using the front muscles to hold yourself up while you are using your side muscles to rotate.

Hip Lift

This is a really great exercise to reduce tummy size. Start by laying down a mat or a towel on the floor to give you some extra padding. Lay down on your mat and put your legs up in the air. Your feet should be pointed at the ceiling. Your legs should be at a 90 degree angle to your body.

Now, what you want to do is use your abs to lift your rear end off the floor. Focus on keeping your abs tight. You can use your hands to balance, but don’t try to push yourself up using your hands. The goal is to work the abs.

These can be a tough exercise. When I started I could barely do 3 before I was worn out. Don’t push yourself too hard. Slowly try to work up to being able to do 10 of these in a row without stopping.

Simple Cardio

Oh cardio, this is probably the one that I really hated to do. The truth is though, if you really want to know how to get a flat tummy, this is it. Doing cardio burns fat which will flatten your tummy.

Most fitness experts say that you should get a minimum of 90 minutes of cardio each week. The best way is if you can get your heart pumping for 30 minutes, 3 times a week.

I started by taking my dog for a walk around the neighborhood. When my husband got home, he would watch the kids and I would go for a quick walk with my dog, Max.

Since then I’ve bought an elliptical machine that I can use while the kids are napping. I like it a lot more than walking outside since I can watch TV and be in the air conditioning while I’m working out!

If you really want to know how to reduce tummy size, then these tips above will really do the trick. I know they helped me a lot!
